By Abiodum OLOFE Ekiti State government has again reiterated it's readiness to provide conducive learning environment for Ekiti students to acquire knowledge. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education Science and Technology, Dr Kofoworola Aderiye represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi gave this assurance while commissioning a toilet facility constructed by 1979/80 set of Egbeoba High School, Ikole Ekiti. She commended the set for considering the request of the principal whom she described as being strategic in his request of toilet facility. The SA urged the school management to encourage users of the hygienic use of the facility and reminded the stakeholders to always see the project of government as their own, hence the need for adequate maintenance. By  Oluwafunmilayo ADEKUNLE The Federal Government today flagged off the construction and dualization of Akure/Iju-Itagbolu/Ikere/Ado-Ekiti Road which has been in deplorable condition for almost 15years. At the flagoff in Akure, the Minister of Works  and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola disclosed that the construction work would cost ninety  billion naira The Works Minister who apologised to the people of Ondo and Ekiti states for the delay in reconstructing the road, said every necessary payment had been made to the contractor handling it in order to complete it within 24 months. Fashola disclosed that the award and flag-off of the road took so long because of the necessary process required by the new procurement law. Speaking in Ado Ekiti at a one-day workshop, RAAMP’s National Coordinator, Engr. Aminu Bodinga Mohammed said the stakeholders’ engagement was to reach a consensus on the draft bills for Rural Access Road Agency (RARA) which will be responsible for the management of rural roads and the State Road Fund (SRF) which would also be responsible for the maintenance of state and rural roads in Ekiti State. Reverend Isaac Olatunde OLUBOWALE at the Bishop's Court in Usi-Ekiti on Friday 5 May, 2023 over the demise of three Clerics and One other person in the Diocese. PRESS RELEASE Ekiti State government has announced the resumption of all public and private primary and secondary schools for  the third term of the year  2022/2023 academic session in Ekiti State .  This is in accordance with the approved calendar for the academic year as contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi , made available to journalists by the  information officer, of the same Ministry, Mr Abiodun Olofe, on Monday 1st May, 2023 in Ado Ekiti. All  heads of schools, teachers, and  students of secondary and primary schools  in Ekiti State are  to resume academic activities on Tuesday 2nd May,2023.
