EWI of Ado-Ekiti installs new Ologunsunja of Ado-Ekiti....... Calls for cooperation with the new Chief.

By John Kayode AYODELE
The EWI of Ado-Ekiti: Oba Dr. Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe ALADESANMI III on Thursday affirmed the installment of Bar. Patrick Kunle OMOTOSO as the new Chief Ologunsunja of Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State.

In his pronouncement; the Royal Father reiterated the fact that the process that led to the emergency of Bar. Patrick Kunle OMOTOSO was transparent enough. The Monarch appreciated all the Àgbà Ado Chiefs for their collaborative efforts in making sure that the principles of natural justice were administered.
The Monarch, while congratulating the Sons and Daughters of Inisunja Community in Ado-Ekiti the State Capital corrected some of the negative thoughts of the opposition regarding the lineage of the new Chief Ologunsunja, the process that led to the emergency of Bar. Patrick Kunle OMOTOSO, among others.
"Beloved, we need to be sincere with ourselves, we should avoid peddling bad stories to gain cheap popularity, the people of Inisunja have made their choice, Odò Ado Chiefs have unanimously agreed having met with the two Aspirants and the people of Inisunja" My judgement would not contradict the decision of the People of Inisunja and Odo Ado Chiefs. Hence, I pronounce that Bar. Patrick Kunle OMOTOSO should proceed with the installation ceremony as the new Chief Ologunsunja of Ado-Ekiti the Monarch added.
Recall that the Chieftaincy tussle on who becomes the new Ologunsunja of Ado-Ekiti began in the year 2021 after the demise of the late Chief Ologunsunja. This led to the official resignation of Pa. Joseph OMOTOSO as the Elerebi of Inisunja to pave way for his Son: Bar. Patrick Kunle OMOTOSO to contest for the position of Ologunsunja of Ado-Ekiti.

Bar. Patrick Kunle OMOTOSO polled 16 to defeat his rival Mr. Abiodun ADETONA OFIN who scored zero at the poll which was conducted among the rightful delegates.
Chief Patrick Kunle OMOTOSO is a Legal Practitioner, an esthwhile President of the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (St. Patrick Cathedral Chapter Ado-Ekiti), a Patron for the Officers of Man of Order and Discipline (Movement of Nigeria) Ekiti Diocesan Chapter, among others.
