EKITI CATHOLIC LAITY COUNCIL CELEBRATES GBOLUWAGA IN GRAND STYLE

The Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria, Ekiti Diocesan Chapter celebrates her 29th Annual Gboluwaga on Sunday at St. Theresa Catholic Church Ise-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The concelebrated Mass had in attendance: Rev Frs. Anthony Bankole (Diocesan Laity Chaplain), Patrick Ayemowa (Assistant Diocesan Chapter), Augustine Oge (Host Deanery Chaplain) and Felix Oladele (Associate Priest of the host Parish). Also in attendance were: The President of the Council in Ekiti Diocese: Prof. Emmanuel Onijigin and the members of his cabinet, Hon. Deji Àjàyí alias No story, HRM Oba Dr. David Ayodele Àjàyí (Arinjale of Ise-Ekiti) ably represented by Olori Ayodele, Officers of the Laity Council at all levels and other well wisher.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Anthony Bankole charged the Congregation to be charitable to everyone. The homilist cited the story of Lazarus and the rich man and affirmed that any clothes or shoes that has spent over 4years in our wardrobes are no longer ours, hence, the need to dash them out is of necessity.

While addressing the Congregation, the President of the Council in Ekiti appreciated everyone and encouraged all to be consistent and discharge whatever duties assigned to us deligently.

In thanksgiving to God, the Priests, invited guests, Chairholders, Officers of the Council at all levels, representatives of the Council in all the Deaneries in Ekiti Diocese and the Parishioners of the host Parish joyfully took their offerings to God on the altar.
