CYON Ado Deanery elect new Officers

Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON) Ado Deanery elected a new set of Executive that will pilot the affairs of the Organisation for the next Four Years.

The election which was conducted in Ado-Ekiti the capital of Ekiti State on Friday was confirmed by the Local and External observers to be Free, Fair, Transparent and credible election.

Speaking on behalf of other elected Officers; the President elect Mr. Peter Sunkanmi AWOGBAMI who polled 31 valid votes to defeat his opponent Miss. Mercy ABEGUNDE who polled 10 valid votes appreciated the authority of the Church, the Leadership of the Organisation at the Deanery and Parish levels, the Electoral Committee under the Chairmanship of Mr. Augustine Ayodeji AYITI, the statutory delegates and the Observers. He promised to work harmoniously with his team members to achieve success.

Other elected Officers are:

Funminiyi Paul Awogbami: Vice President 1

Helen Adebayo: Vice President II

Mary Omowumi Àjàyí: General Secretary

Pius Mary Chiweke : Assistant General Secretary

Clinton Ifedayo Omodara: Director of Sports

Justice O. Ibeh: Director of Socials (Male)

Christiana O. Suru: Director of Socials (Female)

Agnes Oluwole : Welfare Director (Female)

Peter Taiwo Ajibola: Financial Secretary

Mercy Abegunde : Public Relations Officer

Peter Odinaka: Public Relations Officer II

Tseah Sylvester: Provost Marshal

The Inauguration ceremony of the newly elected Officers shall be done at the next general meeting of the Organisation in December, 2022.
