EKSG promises Ease of doing Business Reforms in Ekiti State

The Governor of Ekiti State Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has promised the people of Ekiti State a business friendly environment through the introduction of the ease of doing business reform.
This was made known by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade and Investment, who represented the Governor during the Ekiti Day 2022 held at the Trade Fair Complex, Basiri, Ado-Ekiti.
Oyebanji declared his intention of making Ekiti State a hub of viable business environment with the ease of doing business reforms that would soon be set in motion in the State.
Oyebanji stressed that his administration is consistently committed to policies and reforms that are geared at enhancing the diversification and structure of the economy through massive human capital development.
He added that a Council for "ease of doing business reform" will be inaugurated before the end of year 2022 to facilitate infrastructural development in the state.
Oyebanji also expressed his interest in power generation for the state as efforts are being made to install a 33KVA sub station at Ijesha-Isu in addition to the other developmental projects in the state to ease the challenges of power supply in Ekiti State.
Governor Oyebanji further stressed that efforts are ongoing to revive some of the water Dams in the state, in order to provide source of water for farmers which would enhance all year farming to boost the activities of Agro-products in the state.
Oyebanji expressed his concern for SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprise) in the state as efforts are in place to reach out to them in order to identify their pain points; in the areas of securing loans, business trainings and proper accounting system.
"We will collaborate with the organized private sector by including at least 3 representatives from each senatorial districts of the organized private sector in the Council of Ease of doing business reform that is about to be inaugurated in order to express their grey areas and bring the report to bear in decision-making process" the Governor noted.
The members of EKICCIMA (Ekiti State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture) thanked the Governor for his good intentions to make the economy of Ekiti State thrive.
Present at the Ekiti Day celebration were Permanent Secretaries from different MDAs and other top government functionaries.
Ekiti State cultural troupe added glamour to the 2022 Ekiti Day through the performance staged at the event.
