Monarch celebrates silver jubilee in a grand style: calls on subjects to be more united.

The Oloye of Oye Ekiti, Oba (Sir) Oluwole Ademolaju, Adugbole lll has called on the people of Oye Kingdom to live together in peace and harmony for more development to take place.

Oba Ademolaju made the call while addressing the people of the community and guests during his 25th year coronation anniversary in his palace in Oye Ekiti.

The monarch, who appreciated God for His protection over him and the kingdom in his 25 years of reign, thanked the people for their support at making Oye of his dream a reality.

Oba Ademolaju highlighted some of the achievements recorded since his assumption of the throne to include rapid physical expansion of the community, location of a federal university, a missionary institution, Crawford university, owned by the Apostolic Faith church and some other federal and state governments establishments.
According to the traditional ruler, the community was a quiet and sleepy place when he mounted the stool of his fore fathers in 1997, but now the 3rd fastest growing economy in Ekiti state after Ado and Ikere Ekiti.

He promised to work with other traditional rulers of the old Oye Kingdom, such as the Ilupeju, Ire and Ayegbaju for the resucitation of the kingdom's old 'empire day' celebration.

While calling on Oye indigenes at home and in the diaspora to contribute meaningfully to the development of the community by investing in real estate and businesses, Oba Ademolaju assured them of protection on their property and businesses.
He thanked the state government for creating enabling environment for the community to grow.

At the silver jubilee coronation anniversary celebration, two prominent and industrious sons of Ekiti and their wives were installed with honorary chieftaincy titles for their meritorious service to the development of the kingdom.

Those honoured with the chieftaincy titles were Chief Lanre Adesuyi as the Akogun of Oye Kingdom, his wife as yeye Akogun, while Chief Olufemi Ajayi was installed as Bobagunwa and the wife as yeye Bobagunwa of Oye Kingdom.

In his opening remarks, the chairman at the occasion, Ambassador Kayode Oguntuase admonished the people of the town to intensify more support for the Kabiesi for more developmental strides to take place.

The Eleegbo of Oye Ekiti High Chief Vincent Fadogba attested to the rapid physical growth recorded in the area in last 25 years, believing that more will still be witnessed in the coming years. 

He prayed for long live and good health for the traditional ruler, promising total support from the chiefs for sustainable peace and development.

After his installation, the Bobagunwa of Oye Ekiti, Chief Olufemi Ajayi promised to continue to work for the development of mankind and as well render services that will promote peace, love and progress in the area.
