The Leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ekiti State Chapter, on Tuesday visited the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development (Ekiti State), the office of the Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) to the Governor of Ekiti State, and some other personalities in the State to brief them of their upcoming events.

The delegation led by the State Chairman of the Council: Ambassador James Oluwasegun BANKOLE had in attendance: The General Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer, Director of Sports, Financial Secretary, Organizing Secretary (North), Internal Auditor, Director of Education and Training, and some other Officers.

In his address, Ambassador James Oluwasegun Bankole appreciated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and other members of his cabinet for their developmental projects in the State. He lauded the Governor for the recruitment of 1,300 Primary School Teachers, distribution of Cars and other developmental projects.

Amb. James Bankole however presented the upcoming events of the Ekiti Youth Council and reassured the State Government that the National Youth Council in Ekiti State under his watch will work in collaboration with the State Government to achieve the Agenda of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths and Sports Development in Ekiti Mr. Bamidele Arowosola and the Director for Youths, Comrade Odunayo Adesoye appreciated the State Chairman and his team for their selfless services to humanity. "Continue with your laid down programmes but make sure you carry the Ministry along. Be rest assured of our support and collaborative efforts" The duo of Mr. Arowosola and Adesoye said.

Reacting, the Senior Special Assistant to Ekiti State Governor on Special Duties, Hon. Joseph Aduloju appreciated the efforts made so far by Amb. James Oluwasegun Bankole to restructure the Youth Council in Ekiti State despite the fact that they have not been patronizing the media houses. Hon. Joseph Aduloju asked the Council Leadership to count on his support and cooperation when and where necessary.

 "Thank you for remembering the statutory Organisations that made up the National Youth Council, posterity will work in your Favour" the Governor's Senior Special Assistant added.

Similarly, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ekiti State on Community Communications: Mrs. Mary Oso Omotoso appreciated Amb. James Segun Bankole and his team for coordinating the Youths in the State. Mrs. Mary Oso assured the Council Chairman and his team that her office is always open to accommodate the Youth Council for collaborative efforts.

"For you to have organized yourself and have better plans for Ekiti Youths during this time that there is no election ahead, you have indeed demonstrated that you are not in the Council for immediate gratification" Mrs. Mary Oso added.
