EKITI EDUCATION COMMISSIONER, PROMISES HEALTHY COLLABORATION WITH THE STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY.

The Commissioner for Education, Dr Kofoworola Aderiye has assured Ekiti State House of Assembly of her ministry's readiness to collaborate with the legislative arm of government, especially the committee on Education.

She made this known while playing host to the members of the Ekiti State House committee on Education in Ekiti State House of Assembly who came on familiarization to the Ministry.

Aderiye described the meeting as timely and crucial, especially as the schools prepare to resume for another academic session.

 She urged the committee to partner the ministry in monitoring the projects ongoing in the various schools across the state.

The Commissioner assured them of a cordial relationship that would foster more physical development in the state adding that the the heights of education excellence could only be attained with the support and corporation of all stakeholders.

Dr Aderiye reiterated the commitment of Governor Biodun Oyebanji led administration in recruiting competent hands to teach students and consistent capacity development as well as training in the areas of digital literacy and computer appreciation. 

On the ongoing recruitment exercise, Aderiye assured that the standard already set would not be compromised and also explained reasons behind some candidates that could not find their scores and encouraged those that would be shortlisted to give in their best in impacting the lives of the children that will be entrusted to their care.

Earlier in his remark, the Chairman Ekiti State House committee on Education, Honorable Awoniyi Adeyemi congratulated the commissioner on her appointment and said the purpose of the visit was for the committee to familiarize with the Education family and to know about the activities of the ministry.

The Chairman said the committee wouldn't hesitate to support and compliment the activities of the ministry as he promised to make the visit a continuous one.

He also expressed the readiness of the legislators in partnering the state ministry for a robust relationship and to make impact in the lives of Ekiti citizens in quality education delivery.

While appreciating the visitors, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi urged the State House of Assembly to look into legislating laws that will prevent holding social events in the various public schools in Ekiti State.

Also at the meeting were members of Ekiti State House of Assembly committee on Education, the Directors of all the departments and the project coordinators of AGILE and IDEAS.
